It is biased and has an anti-conservative Christian agenda.

And the people accusing Michael Tait of homosexuality, sexual abuse and drug use went to the wrong source.

Therefore, those accusations are moot…

And I’m sure Tait will deny everything demand a retraction.

Are you saying he didn't do those things?

Maybe he did, though we hope not.

The point was that the accusations are (so far) coming from a single, untrusted source, and so discerning and critical thinkers would be wise to reserve judgment for the time being.

Ok. I agree. I've had a lot of interaction with Julie, especailly when she did her "expose" of Bethlehem Baptist, where I was a member , which was tainted, twisted, did not represent the truth. It was bad.

Even a clock that stopped working years ago is right twice a day.
Two things can be true simultaneously.
The Roy’s Report is an agenda driven and often dishonest rag.
Michael Tait was a vile hypocrite for a number of years and was propped up by the greater CCM community.

Third thing that is true and no one seems to notice: Michael Tait has repented of his sins, apologized, asked forgiveness and has not deflected any blame from himself.

I noted that clearly in a previous post.
Which is exactly what a true believer would and should do. Do we give him praise and glory for that?

No (though it's not amiss to point out that his apology is better than 99% of the celebrity apologies out there). But praise for genuine repentance isn't amiss. "There will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who need no repentance" (Luke 15:7).

And with repentance comes forgiveness. Not pushing the reset button and forgetting the sin never happened, but welcoming him back to participation within the church (which he needs) and not continuously holding those sins against him like a scarlet letter. There will be scribes and Pharisees, however, for whom Tait's repentance will never be enough.

Sad but true... Then we sit around and wonder why those who are in sin never come to repentance. I just hope for their sake these pharisees never come to a point where they need to repent 🙄 and are looking for grace and restoration.

As I said previously elsewhere, Julie Roys seems to be a "one-trick pony" obsessed mainly with with the mess over at Daystar Television. Does she ever express sorrow or grief over such moral failures?

I would have to say that Eric Skwarczynski ("Preacherboys" Podcast) seems far more honorable than Julie Roys. At least Eric is open about no longer professing Christ and he seems sincere in his desire to stop the abuse in the IFB circles.

I have been in ministry for 50 years and, sadly, I have seen too many of my peers overtaken by sin, almost always sexual sin. I have on one occasion had to deal with such on our Church staff. I have experienced a few who feigned repentance but ultimately ended up back in their sin. Thankfully our staff member was completely restored…including his marriage and ministry (in a less public role).

In every instance there were forgiving, loving Christians…there were unforgiving, critical Pharisees and the testimony of Christ and His church was damaged. But He is omniscient and knows whether repentance is genuine and His Kingdom does not depend on anyone but Him.
